Our Guiding Service Tailored For You
AfterAction provides a guiding service to the battlefields of Western Europe for independent groups and individuals. Your tour will be tailored to your interests; designed and organised for you.
We believe that your wishes are paramount. We can plan tours which combine battlefield experience and sightseeing. If you wish time can also be set aside for you to spend time on your own or simply to relax and take in the local sights.
In consultation with you, AfterAction will produce a Tour Information Pack for each member of your group, containing a detailed itinerary and information about the sites to be visited. Where possible, we will visits sites of specific battles, units or where a particular soldier fought.
Options for you. Providing you with more choice in how you wish to plan your trip, we offer a number of flexible options for you:
Option 1. AfterAction will discuss your requirements with you and plan your trip, taking into account:- Your preferred travel dates
- How long you wish to spend on the trip
- The type and quality of accommodation you require
- Departure and return ports
- Which battlefield sites and/or other places of interest you wish to visit
- Any places of personal interest to be included
Option 2. For those of you who prefer to arrange your own travel and accommodation, we will discuss your requirements with you, provide advice on travel and accommodation and produce a suitable itinerary. In this way, ensuring greater choice and flexibility.
Transport. Depending on the number of travellers, there is also flexibility when planning your trip:
- If you are an individual or group travelling in own personal vehicle or hired directly by you. Your Guide will travel with you, joining at a mutually agreed location. (Usually the port of departure.)
- Individual or groups of 2 to 3. Your Guide will be happy to take you on your tour in his own vehicle.
Cost. Prices are prepared according to your particular personal or group requirements. As a rule, your costs will include:
- Accommodation (Bed & Breakfast)
- Ferry Fares
- Guide Fees, including accommodation
- Vehicle hire, insurance and fuel (where applicable)
- Individual Tour Information Pack
To allow for greater flexibility with itineraries, prices do not include:
- Museum entry fees
- Cost for lunches, evening meal or other refreshments
- Personal spending
Costs quoted are in Pounds Sterling and are for the services as shown above and any other specifically agreed services requested agreed between you and AfterAction.
